Navy and Tangerine Engagement Party Inspiration

Our Engagement Party was a mere two weeks after The FiancĂ© proposed. It truly was a beautiful whirlwind and I would have had it no other way. With Pinterest never far from my fingertips, I was armed with an arsenal of ideas that I shared with my future sister-in-law, who along with her husband, threw us the best party a girl couple could ask for.

Our invites were from Paperless Post, and I am obsessed with them. They were the inspiration behind the color scheme and decor for the entire party. I'm not sure if you know this, but I am literally obsessed with paper. I love cards, invitations, hand-written notes of all kinds. I go crazy for birthday cards and can't wait until Christmas every year. I'm the only girl I know who literally has stamps in their purse at all times. (A little trick while we're on the subject, I order my stamps from usps.com because then I can get the best selection.) It was tough for me to not be able to send out paper invites to our party, but my sadness was quelled when I saw how cute this Paperless Post invite was.

I can't wait for you to see how our party turned out! I'll post the pics in a future (near future, don't worry!) post.

And as for how The Fiancé handled all of the party planning? He pretty much gives me the green light to do what I want with these types of things. You see, he's smart. Happy Wife, Happy Life...isn't that what they say? We are off to a great start.

  1. Congrats! Love the invites and I'm also obsessed with paper. I find it a treat when I get a card or letter from a friend since everyone uses email to send electronic greetings

  5. And I know for a fact that you're very good at all of this. :) I have to admit, I love handwritten cards but those paperless invites were astonishing. I fell a little in love right there.
