I'm back from my trip to the family beach house on Lake Michigan! We had the best time ever, even though it rained practically the whole time we were there. The periodic bursts of sunshine meant many, many rainbows, and gorgeous sweltering red sunsets. I have tons of pictures to share with you, but they are going to have to come in batches, as there are only so many hours in the day.
The first set is of my precious baby girl Leila. You'll remember that she lives with my mom back home. I couldn't wait to see her! She had a great time at the cottage (as you can see).
She was hilarious on the car ride up to the lake, telling jokes and even sticking her tongue out at me once or twice while sitting on my mom's lap. When we got to the lake, she promptly rolled around in the grass. "Good-old Michigan grass," thought Leila.
Then she decided to go swimming, and promptly put on her Fido Float so she would float in the water.
We went for lots of walks...
And even went blueberry picking. Leila does not like to eat blueberries, but she was a big helper.
I pushed her on the baby swings...And by the end of the trip, it was all she could do to keep her little eyes open. I miss her already.Stay tuned! More to come later...
