It's Not a Purse, It's Called a Satchel
I just can't stop laughing over the scene in The Hangover when Alan (played by Zach Galifianakis) is standing around with the other groomsmen, and the following exchange of words occurs between him and Phil (played by the very adorable Bradley Cooper):
Phil: You're not really wearing that are you?
Alan: Wearing what?
Phil: The man purse. You actually gonna wear that or are you just fuckin' with me?
Alan: It's where I keep all my things. Get a lot of compliments on this. Plus it's not a purse, it's called a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.
This scene makes me laugh so hard, the first time I saw it, I literally had soda shoot out of my nose, (which is not very comfortable in case this has never happened to you, I don't recommend it even though it is pretty funny when it happens to someone else.)
This scene got me thinking about that one guy I dated that one time who actually wore a man-purse, or murse, as I like to call it. It was made by Jack Spade. This morning on the way to work, I wondered to myself, "What is Jack Spade up to these days?" So I decided to find out. Here are some very cute options in case you are in the market for a murse. I know what The Boyfriend is getting for Christmas!!!
By the way, in case you'd like to buy that T-shirt Alan is wearing, it's made by Junkfood, and you can buy it here. You're welcome.
